Boat Architecture Tour

After we were stuck for 1 hour on the tollway behind a car fire...arghhhhh...we finally made it to Navy Pier to go on the Chicago River Architecture tour....it was hot but very interesting! Matt couldn't wait to see all the buildings!

Andy and Daddy hanging out looking at everything. Trump Tower....Matt is keeping track of it's progress.

Sears Tower and the "White Castle" building.

Navy Pier Fun

Matt checking out the skyline from Navy Pier

Momma and her boys...

Too cute on the Ferris Wheel , we all had a fun time in the heat!

Matt on the swing ride. He loved it.

The boys playing miniature golf. They did good.
Andy on the carousel.
We parked our car at Auntie Marlene's building and walked over to the pier. Afterwards we came to play with Graham and Nelson. It was a good ending to our adventure!

Lake County Discovery Museum

We went to this museum for the 1st time, they had an exhibit of Album Art. Matt asked what are albums? Boy is time a changin'..... A little Flavor Flav??

Rock Stars!!!

Cassettes and 8-track...pretty funny how they displayed it with the years next to it.

They were trying to hit this guy where it hurts!

On the roller coaster theatre seats.
On a boat to look for Lotus on Grass Lake, circa 1910.... Lotus all but disappeared after everyone came to look at them in the 40's....they are starting to make a comeback because of preservation works going on in the chain o'lakes.

It was fun learning about Lake County and all the things that people did for recreation coming up from Chicago.

Happy 4th of July 2008

Mommy, Matt and Andy went to the Independence Day Parade in downtown Antioch. We had a good time, watching the parade and picking up candy they were throwing at us.

Grandma busy lighting up the snakes! She loves those!

The Unabomber showed up....aka Andy!
